Premier Security Services, based in Los Angeles, California, was founded in 1995 by husband-and-wife Gary and Tracy Canfield. Originally named G.D Canfield and Associates, it later became JDC Security Systems, honoring their children: Jason, Damon, and Courtney.

Gary Canfield, originally from Clarksburg, West Virginia, moved to Burbank in 1954 at just 7 Years old. After serving in the Navy in Europe, he worked in the Sales Department at Southern Wine & Spirits. In 1978, Gary transitioned to the security industry, motivated by a desire to provide and improve customer satisfaction. Alongside Tracy, he established their own company, embodying values of dedication and customer satisfaction.

Gary and the company’s civic involvement in his native Burbank, CA was extensive, including roles on various boards and associations. He was active in community service, contributing to organizations like the Burbank Historical Society, Burbank Rotary Club and Burbank YMCA, and left his philanthropic footprint on Providence St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and the Burbank Police and Fire Museum, to name a few.

Despite Gary's passing in 2018, Premier Security Services continues under Jason Canfield's leadership. With a focus on innovation and community values, the company maintains its commitment to cutting-edge security solutions.

Jason, along with his children Taylor and Tanner, carries forward Gary's vision, ensuring the company's position in the security industry. This multi-generational approach preserves Gary's legacy of integrity and dedication to those who put their trust in us.
